Thoroughly understands that a well-functioning solution does not start in a design tool. I have 7 years of experience digging deep into a user's problems & needs, and the context in which the challenge arises. I excel in listening, observing, probing and analysing the issue. Through User Research I get as close as I can to the core of the problem. I like to work together with Product Owners and the development team to create a number of data-driven design concepts, then develop them into appropriate fidelity and pitch the most viable solution to stakeholders.
As a critical thinker, I effortlessly work my way through detailed grooming pages and I am proficient at understanding complex systems and intricacies. With equal pleasure I work autonomously or in a team, I am experienced in facilitating design review sessions, team retrospective activities, and creative workshops. I have experience working with, contributing to, and maintaining design systems.
From start-up to large multinational, the experience I gained in the various projects in which I work and the roles I fulfil (UI / UX design, coach, project management, process optimisation) make me versatile. At the moment I am responsible for retraining two of my technical colleagues to become designers and directing their design-related activities. In addition, I have been entrusted with the growth support and guidance of a junior designer.
In 2016 I obtained my diploma in Interactive design, and since then I have regularly pursued further education as can be seen on my LinkedIn profile. For example, in 2021 I obtained the Google UX Design Professional Certificate with a grade of 99.47%. I regularly follow courses from The Interaction Design Foundation. Earlier this year, I earned two certifications from Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g).
